Children Of God

Some of the most important things that we have in life are ours through no effort of our own. They are gifts. When I was born I immediately had parents who loved me, a home in which to live, and so many other comforts and blessings. However, had that not been the case, I still would have the greatest gift that any person could possibly want. There are those who don’t have some of the same blessings I have, but they still have access to the greatest gift of all. Regardless of your race, social status, or level of intelligence, you have the love of your heavenly Father.

It was His love for mankind that caused Him to sacrifice Jesus, His only begotten son, to save a perishing world.  (John 3:16.)  Paul said, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” (Galatians 3:26-27) Even if you came into this life without a loving family, even if you have no money or possessions, and even if you have no friends on this earth, you can be a son or a daughter of God most high when you decide to put on Christ through faith, repentance, and baptism.  Paul continues to describe what it is like in Christ Jesus. He says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28) God does not discriminate; He is no “respecter of persons.”  (Acts 10:34) If you have nothing on earth, you can still have everything, because “if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heir according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29.)

If today you are weary and downtrodden because of what you lack in the physical sense, then please open your eyes to the joys that can be received by all who are in Christ Jesus. He wants you to become part of His church today. To do so, you need only to study and obey God’s plan for man’s salvation, which can only be found in His holy word. (Romans 10:17; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10; I Peter 3:21)
