OWNER’S MANUAL

 

      Every new vehicle comes with an owner’s manual from the manufacturer. The manual outlines proper care and maintenance for that car. It is crucial that the manual is followed exactly.

 

      In 1994 I bought my first vehicle. It was a 1989 Ford F-150 Pick-up truck. Not long after I bought the truck some work needed to be done on it. Because of some complications I needed to refer to the owner’s manual. When I went to retrieve the manual from the glove box I found that the book was missing. As a matter of fact I never had an owner’s manual for that truck. I was able to fix the problem without the owner’s manual, but it would have been a lot easier if I could have had it.

 

      God made us. He left us an owner’s manual which outlines proper care and maintenance for our lives. It is crucial that we follow the manual (Bible) exactly. Life will run a lot smoother if we follow the plan.

 

      "But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:14-17.)

 

      It is important that when you buy an item you read the owners manual before use. It is even more important that a person learn the manual of life. As Christians we should all have time set aside each and every day for study of the word of God and prayer. It is crucial that we equip ourselves for proper use of our lives in the service of the Lord.
